About the estate
The Montealto del Castillo winery was founded in the 1980s when winegrower Antonio López, aided by his son Julián, started producing his own wines. Today, the family-run estate manages 100 hectares of vineyards distributed across various plots in Montealegre del Castillo at altitudes of up to 900 meters. The focus lies on the Monastrell variety, which is cultivated in traditional vineyards under continental climatic conditions. Following a transformation process, new facilities were inaugurated in 2015, combining family experience with modern technological innovations.
