Bodegas Covitoro

About the estate

The Bodegas Covitoro winery was founded in 1974 by local vine growers as a cooperative in the town of Toro, releasing its first commercial vintage in 1978. The estate cultivates over 800 hectares of vineyards located entirely within the Toro DO, serving as one of the precursors of the appellation established in 1987. The indigenous Tinta de Toro grape variety plays the central role, alongside a significant share of old vines. Modern production methods and a focus on quality result in flavorful and elegant wines.
