About the estate
The Bodegas Fariña winery was founded in 1942 by Manuel Fariña in Toro within Castilla y León and ranks among the founders of the local denomination of origin. The family estate farms 300 hectares of its own vineyards and focuses on modern, sustainable viticulture centered around the local Tinta de Toro variety. In the cellar, the estate combines traditional wooden vats with modern facilities for production and ageing. In addition to the main winery in Toro, the company operates another facility in Casaseca de las Chanas to produce wines under the Vinos de la Tierra de Castilla y León designation. Through early international pioneering work in the 1970s and ongoing export efforts, the estate established an international reputation across European markets.
The eno directory lists 20 wines, mostly from Tempranillo and Malvasia. Export markets include Germany.
