About the estate
Located in Jerez de la Frontera in Andalusia, the Bodegas Arfe winery is exclusively dedicated to the production of a single wine, the Palo Cortado de la Cruz of 1767. The estate looks back on a history of over three hundred years and matures in a historic building featuring traditional architecture as well as the original Tarifa stone floor. For the aging process, two hundred and sixteen American oak casks are utilized under a solera and two criaderas system. The wine project was established in the year 2000 by winemaker Luis Arroyo Felices, who created the wine from the Palomino grape variety. The estate operates within the Jerez-Xérès-Sherry DO and Manzanilla-Sanlúcar de Barrameda DO denominations.
