About the estate

Founded in 1954 in Minaya, the Bodega Santiago el Mayor estate has its origins in the agricultural colonization groups of the post-war period. Today, the cooperative unites approximately 700 members who predominantly cultivate white Airen grapes alongside smaller quantities of red varieties such as Moravias and Garnachas. Wine production takes place in extensive facilities that combine traditional structures with modern cellar technology, including stainless steel tanks, temperature control, and pneumatic presses. For the elaboration of the wines within the La Mancha denomination, the estate applies a rigorous selection process based on parameters such as pH levels and sugar content. In addition to winemaking, the cooperative provides various agricultural services and sections for the surrounding region.
