About the estate

The Bio Weingut Trautwein estate cultivates prime sites at the Kaiserstuhl, characterized by a mediterranean climate and fertile loess on volcanic rock. The focus of the organic viticulture lies on the grape varieties Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Pinot Gris, and Pinot Blanc. Work in the vineyard is conducted in harmony with nature, while the grapes are given their own autonomy during the cellar aging process. This approach yields distinctive wines with depth and aromatic length. Complementing the viticulture, the estate maintains a diverse farm culture with its own vegetable cultivation and grain production.
