About the estate

The Barone di Serramarrocco estate looks back on a historical tradition dating back to 1624 in a former feudal area in Sicily. In 2001, Marco di Serramarrocco returned to reorganize the land and establish the current winery, which spans a total area of approximately sixty hectares. Based on a detailed micro-zoning study, the vineyards are planted with varieties such as Pignatello, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Nero d’Avola, Zibibbo, and Grillo. Farming focuses on high planting density and low yields, with harvesting conducted exclusively by hand. Depending on the wine, aging takes place in Allier oak tonneaux, concrete vats, or stainless steel tanks.
