About the estate
The Barone di Serramarrocco estate in Sicily looks back on a historical tradition dating back to 1624, when the barony was granted by King Philip IV of Spain. In 2001, Marco di Serramarrocco took over the property and initiated a comprehensive restructuring project of the former feudal estate. The total vineyard area covers about 60 hectares, part of which has been replanted at high vine density based on micro-zoning studies. Cultivated grape varieties include Pignatello, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Nero d’Avola, Zibibbo, and Grillo. Farming practices focus on manual harvesting, strict yield control, environmentally conscious vineyard management, and careful aging in the cellar.
