About the estate

The Az. Agr. Gambino dei F.lli Raciti estate dates back to 1978, when Vittorio Raciti laid the foundation for the property. Today, the winery encompasses 25 hectares of land, featuring vineyards on the slopes of Mount Etna as well as in the central Sicilian area of Caltanissetta. The cultivated grape varieties include Nerello Mascalese, Nerello Cappuccio, Carricante, Cataratto, Grillo, Cabernet, and Nero d'Avola. Harvesting is done entirely by hand, and the family avoids traditional insecticides by using pheromones for natural vineyard management. The estate utilizes temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks and wooden barrels in a cellar excavated eleven meters deep into the volcanic rock.
