About the estate
The Al Cantara Soc. Agr. S.r.l. estate was founded in 2005 by Pucci Giuffrida on the volcano Etna, covering a vineyard area of 20 hectares on volcanic soils. The portfolio includes wines under the Etna DOC, Sicilia DOC, and Terre Siciliane IGT denominations, produced from native grape varieties such as Nerello Mascalese, Nerello Cappuccio, and Carricante. The winery integrates a cultural and artistic philosophy with environmental sustainability, featuring a phytoremediation system developed with the University of Catania and investments in photovoltaic solar energy. Furthermore, the estate is dedicated to preserving rare historical vines to protect local biodiversity and viticultural heritage. Across its production of 19 different wines, each label incorporates artistic and poetic elements that reflect the Sicilian territory.
