About the estate
The Terra Costantino estate is located in Viagrande on the slopes of Mount Etna and was established in 1970 when Dino Costantino acquired the vineyards in Contrada Blandano. The winery farms a total of twelve hectares of vineyards, divided between the plots in Viagrande and two hectares in Contrada Praino in Milo. The estate cultivates exclusively native grape varieties such as Carricante, Catarratto, Nerello Mascalese, and Nerello Cappuccio to produce Etna DOC wines. Farming is conducted organically and sustainably, with the estate having been the first winery on Etna to achieve organic certification. Vinification takes place in a modern underground cellar built according to bio-architecture techniques.
The eno directory lists 7 wines, mostly from Nerello Mascalese and Nerello Cappuccio.
