About the estate
The Alsace Frey Sohler estate in Scherwiller is run by the Sohler family across multiple generations. Today, the winery is managed by Damien Sohler and his daughter Aude, producing wines exclusively from their own vineyards. The portfolio encompasses all traditional grape varieties of the region, including Sylvaner, Riesling, and Gewurztraminer, alongside specialties such as Crémant d’Alsace, Vendanges Tardives, and Sélection de Grains Nobles. The vineyards span diverse terroirs, featuring plots on the Grand Cru Frankstein and the Rittersberg. In the cellar, modern techniques are applied, including temperature-controlled foudres and tanks as well as vacuum bottling for optimal aging.
The eno directory lists 5 wines, mostly from Gewürztraminer and Silvaner.
