About the estate
The Adega Marel estate is located in Amareleja within the Alentejo region, managing approximately 14 hectares of vineyards on very poor, stony soils with diverse characteristics. In the extreme and demanding climate of the warmest wine region in the country, the producer cultivates ten grape varieties, ranging from new plantings to ungrafted old vines over 90 years of age. Their approach combines the preservation of old vines and local grape varieties with the traditional production of Talha wine alongside contemporary techniques. The portfolio includes fresh, aromatic wines from the Marel, Manolito, and Tonico lines that reflect their territory.
