About the estate

The Abbazia Santa Anastasia estate is situated in the heart of the Madonie Park in Sicily and looks back on a history rooted in a former Benedictine monastery built around 1100. The modern revival of the estate's winemaking tradition began in 1980 following the acquisition of the land. Spanning 65 hectares of vineyards in Contrada Santa Anastasia on predominantly clay soils, the winery cultivates native varieties such as Catarratto alongside international grapes including Cabernet Sauvignon. Farming is conducted organically and biodynamically in accordance with Demeter certification standards. The wines produced by the estate fall under the Sicilia DOC denomination.
