L'azienda Howard's Folly Wine ha origine nella regione d'alta quota di Portalegre, nell'Alentejo, dove i climi più freschi consentono alle uve di maturare lentamente. Il progetto è stato fondato nel 2005 da Howard Bilton e dall'enologo David Baverstock per unire il carattere del terroir portoghese a una visione internazionale. Con sede in un edificio storico a Estremoz, la cantina utilizza serbatoi più piccoli per vinificare lotti separati per gli stili di riserva e di fascia alta. Una caratteristica distintiva dell'impresa sono le sue etichette d'ispirazione artistica, molte delle quali sono progettate dai vincitori della Sovereign Art Foundation o da artisti di fama mondiale.
La directory eno registra 24 vini, prevalentemente da Touriga Nacional e Syrah. L'azienda rifornisce distributori e horeca. Esporta tra l'altro in Belgio, Georgia, Regno Unito e Germania.
