Présentation du domaine
Le domaine Howard's Folly Wine trouve ses origines dans la région de haute altitude de Portalegre, dans l'Alentejo, où des climats plus frais permettent aux raisins de mûrir lentement. Le projet a été fondé en 2005 par Howard Bilton et l'œnologue David Baverstock afin d'allier le caractère du terroir portugais à une vision internationale. Basée dans un bâtiment historique d'Estremoz, la cave utilise de plus petites cuves pour vinifier des lots séparés pour les styles de réserve et haut de gamme. Une caractéristique distinctive de l'entreprise réside dans ses étiquettes inspirées de l'art, dont beaucoup sont conçues par des lauréats de la Sovereign Art Foundation ou des artistes de renommée mondiale.
L'annuaire eno recense 24 vins, principalement issus de Touriga Nacional et Syrah. Le domaine fournit distributeurs et cHR / Horeca. Il exporte notamment vers Belgique, Géorgie, Royaume-Uni et Allemagne.
