Perfil de la bodega
La bodega Howard's Folly Wine tiene su origen en la región de gran altitud de Portalegre, en el Alentejo, donde los climas más frescos permiten que las uvas maduren lentamente. El proyecto fue fundado en 2005 por Howard Bilton y el enólogo David Baverstock para combinar el carácter del terruño portugués con una visión internacional. Con sede en un edificio histórico en Estremoz, la bodega utiliza tanques más pequeños para vinificar lotes separados destinados a estilos de reserva y prémium. Un rasgo distintivo de la empresa son sus etiquetas de inspiración artística, muchas de las cuales son diseñadas por ganadores de la Sovereign Art Foundation o artistas de fama mundial.
El directorio eno registra 24 vinos, sobre todo de Touriga Nacional y Syrah. La bodega suministra a distribuidores y hostelería. Exporta, entre otros, a Bélgica, Georgia, Reino Unido y Alemania.
