About the estate
The Winzerhof Nagel estate is run by the Nagel family in Dettelbach in the Franconia wine region. Father Roland and son Tobias combine traditional methods with new ideas and place great emphasis on caring for nature in the vineyards. In the cellar, the musts undergo spontaneous fermentation with wild yeasts and remain on the full lees until bottling. White wines are aged in large oak barrels made from Franconian oak, while red wines mature in small wooden barrels. The portfolio includes the wines Stahlnagel, Ankernagel, and Holznagel.

Die Trauben wurden in kleinen Erträgen von alten Rebstöcken geerntet. Im Anschluss durfte der Wein zwei Jahre im Holzfass auf der Vollhefe reifen und wurde dann ohne Filtration abgefüllt.
