About the estate

The Wimmer, Wagramkeller estate in Fels am Wagram in Lower Austria is a family-run winery developed by Robert Wimmer into a pure wine-growing operation and now run across generations by father and son. The focus is on manual labor in the vineyards, hand harvesting, and careful vinification in the cellar to produce variety-typical and terroir-driven wines. The soils of the region are heavily characterized by loess, on which grape varieties such as Grüner Veltliner, Roter Veltliner, and Riesling thrive in sites like Ried Schillingsberg and Ried Scheiben. The portfolio is complemented by wines such as Chardonnay. Distribution takes place directly at the winery as well as through an online shop.

The eno directory lists 14 wines, mostly from Grüner Veltliner and Zweigelt. The estate sells to retail.
