About the estate

The Weingut Waldthaler estate in Auer, South Tyrol, is a traditional family-run winery that has existed since 1735. Today, Lorenz Waldthaler manages the estate in the eighth generation, supported by his father Clemens. The vineyards are located in the upper village of Auer, where the grape varieties benefit from a mild climate and mineral soils within the Alto Adige DOC region. In the cellar, the estate relies on controlled fermentation, traditional methods, and the use of barrique barrels, amphorae, and concrete vats. The portfolio includes characterful red wines as well as light, fresh white wines, which are divided into the Tradition and Raut lines.
