The Weingut und Edelbrennerei Gemmrich estate located in Beilstein-Schmidhausen is a traditional family business that has developed into a quality-focused winery over generations. Bernd Gemmrich took over the management in 1987 and currently cultivates a vineyard area of 5.5 hectares together with his family. For sustainable and environmentally friendly viticulture, the estate relies on fungus-resistant grape varieties, particularly in steep slopes, and practices one-hundred-percent hand-harvesting. In addition to wines across all quality levels, the estate also produces a variety of spirits in its craft distillery using fruit from its own orchards and hand-gathered wild berries. Furthermore, the winery draws on long-standing seasonal workers and traditional methods in vineyard management and wine production.
