About the estate
The Schreiberlay estate was founded in 1996 and is based in Obernhof on the Lahn river within the Middle Rhine wine region. The winery cultivates five hectares of vineyards and produces wines under the designations of Deutscher Qualitätswein and Mittelrhein. Cultivated grape varieties include Riesling, Pinot Noir (Spätburgunder), Müller-Thurgau, Scheurebe, and disease-resistant varieties such as Calardis blanc and Calardis musqué. Farming is carried out in certified organic accordance with EU guidelines, and the estate is a member of the ECOVIN association. The wines grow in steep terraced vineyards characterized by soils comprising loess, sandy loess, slate, and pumice ash.
