About the estate

The Weingut Schauß estate is located in Monzingen in the Nahe region and is run as a family business spanning multiple generations. The winery cultivates steep slopes in the renowned Monzinger Halenberg and Monzinger Frühlingsplätzchen sites, where the main grape variety Riesling thrives on diverse soils such as slate and quartzite. Vineyard management includes natural soil cultivation and low pruning for yield reduction. In the cellar, grapes are harvested almost exclusively by hand, followed by gentle pressing and slow fermentation in temperature-controlled tanks.

The eno directory lists 5 wines, mostly from Bacchus and Pinot Gris. The estate sells to retail.
