The Weingut Pollig & Schmidt estate was founded in 2015 in the Ahr region and cultivates a vineyard area of 0.8 hectares. The winery focuses on the cultivation of Pinot Noir vines in the vineyard sites of Ahrweiler Silberberg, Ahrweiler Rosenthal, Steinkaul, and Walporzheimer Alte Lay. Management is carried out almost entirely by hand, including a 100 percent hand harvest of the grapes. Harvest yields average between 25 and 50 hectoliters per hectare.
