About the estate

The Peter Lauer estate looks back on 180 years of winemaking tradition and is managed today in the fifth generation along the Saar river in the Mosel wine region. Around the village of Ayl, the winemakers produce Riesling wines, sparkling wines, and crémants from the AYLER KUPP, FEILS, and SCHONFELS sites. The estate owns parcels with up to 100-year-old vines that are vinified separately. Their sustainable approach to viticulture includes selective hand-harvesting and spontaneous fermentation with wild yeasts in old wooden barrels. All wines produced by the winery are vegan.

The eno directory lists 28 wines, mostly from Riesling. The estate sells to retail.
