About the estate
The Mätzli estate is located in Vitznau, Switzerland, at an altitude of 500 to 600 meters on the southern slope of Mount Rigi. In 2005, the agricultural business decided to transition from dairy farming to viticulture. Fruity and full-bodied wines are produced from the two fungus-resistant grape varieties Johanniter for white wine and Cabernet Jura for red wine. The cultivation and vinification of these single-varietal wines follow organic guidelines. The portfolio is complemented by estate-grown spirits distilled from organically produced fruits.

Der Johanniter ist ein spritziger Sommerwein der mit einem hellen goldgelb daherkommt. In der Nase ist er kräutrig, fruchtig, dies spiegelt sich auch im Gaumen wieder. Grüner Apfel und Zitrusnoten begleitet von einer präsenten und gut eingebundener Säure sowie grasig-würzige Nuancen runden den Wein ab.
