About the estate
The BioWeingut Sitenrain estate in Meggen in German-speaking Switzerland was established in 2003 when the former farm was acquired by the Breitschmid family. Today, manager and winemaker Nora Breitschmid and her team cultivate 5.5 hectares of vineyards comprising around 30000 vines. The winery is strictly committed to sustainable and certified organic agriculture north of the Alps. It exclusively cultivates fungus-resistant grape varieties such as Solaris, Souvignier Gris, Maréchal Foch, and Cabernet Cortis. From these grapes, the estate primarily produces white wines as well as red and sparkling wines under the AOC Lucerne denomination.
