About the estate

The Weingut Leininger estate in Eibelstadt is run in the fourth generation and cultivates around eight hectares of vineyards in Franconia. The focus is on steep-slope viticulture in the Kapellenberg, Mönchsleite, and Altenberg 1172 sites. Old Silvaner, Riesling, and Pinot Noir vines, some over 40 years of age, grow on the shell limestone soils. In the cellar, grapes are harvested by hand, pressed gently, and aged by vineyard site in small vessels. The estate relies on methods such as spontaneous fermentation and extended yeast contact to emphasize the origin profile of the wines.
