About the estate

The Karl-Heinz Gaul estate in Grünstadt was founded in 1993 by the parents and currently manages 22 hectares of vineyards. Located in the northern part of the Palatinate around Sausenheim, the vineyards are characterized by tertiary limestone, which shapes the style of the estate's wines. Riesling and Pinot varieties are the most important grape varieties, cultivated in sites such as Sausenheimer Honigsack, Sausenheimer Hütt, and Neuleininger Schloßberg. A large portion of the grapes is harvested selectively by hand to ensure high quality. The wines are aged in the estate's own barrel cellar following processing in the newly built press house.
