About the estate

The Weingut Jürg Wetzel estate looks back on a long family tradition that was intensified by Bruno Wetzel Minikus in the 1950s and officially founded by Jürg Wetzel in 1987. The next generation took over management of the winery in 2025, with the entire family continuing to work closely together. The cultivated vineyards covering nearly three hectares are spread across sites in Gebenstorf, Villigen, and Birmenstorf. There, the vines thrive on diverse soils such as Jurassic limestone, loess, or clay substrates, which provide ideal conditions for cultivating various grape varieties. In winemaking, the estate relies on traditional craftsmanship, long-standing experience, and the combination of proven methods with fresh ideas.
