About the estate

Founded in 1865, the Julius Zotz estate is located in Heitersheim at the foot of the Black Forest in the Markgräflerland region. Today, the winery is managed in the fifth generation by family members Martin, Michael, and Julian. The top wines grow in the sites Heitersheimer Maltesergarten on calcareous loess soils and Badenweiler Römerberg on limestone. The portfolio focuses on Gutedel and various Burgundy varieties, supplemented by grapes such as Sauvignon Blanc, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Merlot. Sustainable and environmentally friendly management forms the basis for the production of the wines.

The eno directory lists 25 wines, mostly from Chasselas and Pinot Noir. The estate sells to distributors, horeca and retail. Export markets include Netherlands.
