About the estate

The Stephan Steinmetz estate on the Moselle has been managed by Stephan Steinmetz since 1992, continuing the heritage of his ancestors as a family project. The winery cultivates sites with muschelkalk soils, focusing entirely on Elbling and Pinot varieties. Vineyard management minimizes machinery in favor of traditional manual labor from spring to harvest. Vinification relies on minimal intervention, extended aging on the lees, and the production of uncompromisingly dry white wines and Crémants. Natural cork is used exclusively to ensure harmonious aging in the bottle.
