About the estate

The Weingut Hunn estate was founded in 1982 by Felix and Gudrun Hunn in Gottenheim on the Tuniberg and is managed today as a family business. The vineyards are located on fertile loess soils over an ancient limestone layer, with Pinot varieties making up the lion's share of the area under vine. Alongside Pinot Blanc, Pinot Gris, Chardonnay, and Pinot Noir, the grape variety spectrum also includes Sauvignon Blanc, Chasselas, and Müller-Thurgau. Through nature-conscious vineyard management and careful craftsmanship in the cellar, the estate combines traditional methods with modern technology. Depending on the category, the wines mature in stainless steel tanks or in oak barrels.
