About the estate
The Weingut Hofmann GbR estate in Röttingen was founded in 1991 by Alois Hofmann with an initial vineyard area of 1.3 hectares and is managed today within the family by Jürgen Hofmann. The winery currently cultivates a vineyard area of approximately nine hectares, planted with 60 percent white and 40 percent red grape varieties. Almost all of the wine grows in the top site Röttinger Feuerstein on Muschelkalk soils intersected by white quartz veins. This geological characteristic gives the delicate and mineral wines their unmistakable structure. The estate produces characterful top wines and places great emphasis on continuous quality controls in the vineyard and the cellar.
