About the estate
The Weingut Ernst Hein estate located in Temmels on the Mosel is run by the family in the fourth generation. After completing a winemaking apprenticeship, Thomas Hein earned a degree in viticulture and oenology in Geisenheim and worked as a cellar master in Luxembourg, while Isabelle Hein gained experience through internships and apprenticeships along the Saar and middle Mosel before taking an active role in management. Covering a vineyard area of 11.3 hectares, the winery participates in development programs emphasizing environmentally friendly steep-slope viticulture, biotechnological plant protection, and organic winegrowing. The portfolio comprises twelve wines alongside sparkling wine production overseen by Isabelle Hein.
