About the estate

The Danner winery in Durbach in the Ortenau region was taken over in 2006 by Alexander Danner, who received the vineyards from his parents. The estate practices management without chemical fertilizers, having revitalized the soils using self-fermented bacteria and fungi. In the cellar, fining agents and cultured yeasts are entirely avoided; instead, the wines undergo spontaneous fermentation and mature on the lees for several years up to a decade. The portfolio comprises natural wines aged in stainless steel tanks, large oak casks, and barrique barrels. Distribution is carried out under the designation Badischer Landwein.

The eno directory lists 5 wines, mostly from Müller-Thurgau and Chardonnay. The estate sells to retail.
