About the estate

The Weingut Birkert GbR estate in Bretzfeld-Adolzfurt is a long-established, multi-generational family business managing twelve hectares of vineyards in the Adolzfurter Schneckenhof and Bretzfelder Goldberg sites. The portfolio features traditional varieties alongside aromatic grape varieties such as Muskateller, Traminer, and Bacchus, as well as new crosses like Rotberger. The quality philosophy relies on nature-oriented cultivation with organic fertilization, intensive canopy management, and rigorous grape selection. In the cellar, Manfred and Boris Birkert combine traditional methods with modern technology, aging the wines in stainless steel tanks, traditional wooden casks, or small barriques. The agricultural enterprise is complemented by orchards, a private distillery, beekeeping, and a local wine tavern.
