About the estate

The Abril estate cultivates 35 hectares of vineyards in the Baden wine region in accordance with the guidelines of the ECOVIN association. On the volcanic weathered soils as well as loess and loam soils of the Kaiserstuhl, characterful white wines, red wines, rosé wines, and crémants are produced. The winery combines long-standing viticultural tradition with organic farming and natural vinification in the cellar. The portfolio includes Pinot Gris, Pinot Blanc, Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, and Blue Sylvaner, among others. The grapes are traditionally harvested by hand, and the wines are matured in large wooden barrels or barriques.
