Weinbau Zähner

About the estate

The Weinbau Zähner estate cultivates a little over one hectare of vineyards on the south-facing slopes of the Wolkensteinerberg in the canton of Schaffhausen. The winery has historical roots going back to the great-grandparents and is currently managed by the fourth and fifth generations as a family. A large portion of the vineyard area is planted with fungus-resistant PIWI varieties, complemented by traditional European varieties such as Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. Farming is strictly carried out according to BioSuisse guidelines with a focus on close-to-nature production and reduced pesticide use. The vinification of the grapes takes place externally.

The eno directory lists 16 wines, mostly from Pinot Noir and Souvignier Gris.
