The Swiss winery Weinbau Triengen is a part-time small business located in Schenkon in the canton of Lucerne, focusing primarily on manual labor. In the steep and protected Schürmatt vineyard site, various grape varieties thrive based on natural ground cover and the avoidance of herbicides and synthetic fertilizers. Using fungus-resistant and Vitis vinifera varieties such as Johanniter, Gewürztraminer, Merlot, and Gamaret, the estate produces high-quality AOC wines independently. The operation cultivates its vineyards with low yields and a minimum of additives in a biological balance. Vinification, blending, and ageing take place directly on the estate.
