About the estate

The Wein- und Sektgut Barth estate in the Rheingau is run as a family business across generations. The vineyards are situated in traditional sites such as Hattenheimer Hassel, Wisselbrunnen, Schützenhaus, Hallgartener Hendelberg, and Schönhell, which are classified as VDP.GROSSE LAGE and VDP.ERSTE LAGE. The vineyards are farmed organically and by hand, with a focus on Riesling and Pinot varieties. In addition to characterful organic wines, the estate specializes in long-aged, bottle-fermented organic sparkling wines. In the cellar, natural yeasts are utilized to preserve the distinct origin of each vineyard site.
