About the estate

The Vino Petrič estate looks back on a long family tradition dating back to 1778, which is currently managed in the eighth generation. The winery cultivates eight hectares of vineyards located on the southern slopes in the Vipavska dolina around the village of Slap. The soils consist of a mixture of limestone, marl, sandstone, and clay, influenced by the meeting of Mediterranean and continental climates. The portfolio comprises ten different grape varieties with a focus on white wine, including the local indigenous varieties Zelen and Pinela. Viticultural practices emphasize environmentally friendly methods, single-spar cultivation for lower yields, and the combination of traditional experience with new technology.
