About the estate
The Vini Piazza winery looks back on a long history that began in the 1930s when Riccardo Piazza planted the first Merlot vines. Today, the family-run estate cultivates 0.8 hectares of vineyards located on a sunny and fertile plain in Dino, dominated by the limestone formation of Denti della Vecchia. The winery applies completely natural viticulture and winemaking methods, utilizing soil fertility and promoting environmental biodiversity. With an annual production of around 6,000 bottles under the Ticino DOC denomination, the portfolio features niche products including classic white and red wines, Merlot vinified in stainless steel or aged in oak barrels, Pinot, blends, and a sparkling wine produced using the Champenoise technique.
The eno directory lists 11 wines, mostly from Merlot and Pinot Noir. The estate sells to distributors.
