About the estate
The Cantina Blass AG estate is based in Vecchio in Ticino and manages a total of around 4.5 hectares of vineyards on the hills of Astano, Sessa, Agno and Bioggio. Operating as a small-scale, nature-focused boutique winery, the team relies on traditional artisan winemaking and manual labour for both vineyard management and vinification. Around 50 percent of the vineyard area is planted with Merlot, supplemented by varieties such as Cabernet Franc, Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc and newer PIWI varieties. In the cellar, the site-specific wines are aged in amphorae and barriques. The portfolio includes fourteen different wines, featuring various single-vineyard bottlings.
