About the estate
The Vinattieri Ticino estate located in Ligornetto was founded in the 1980s by Luigi Zanini, inspired by the style of Bordeaux wines. In 1985, the first vintage of Vinattieri Rosso was released, permanently changing the image of Ticino wine. Today, the winery manages 100 hectares of vineyards distributed across Mendrisiotto, Luganese, and Malcantone. The soils range from limestone formations to acid-reacting grounds, yielding wines under the Ticino DOC denomination. In the cellar, the estate utilizes both stainless steel tanks and traditional wooden barrels depending on the specific wine style.
