About the estate
The Vignoble et château Chevalier Bayard estate is situated on the heights of Pontcharra in the Isère region on the border of Savoy, tracing its origins back to 1404. Listed as a historical monument, the property was restored starting in 1890 and returned to viticulture in 2006 with the replanting of historical grape varieties. Spanning a vineyard area of two hectares, the estate cultivates alpine varieties such as Persan and Pinot Gris for its Isère wines, alongside Mondeuse d’Arbin and Roussette de Savoie for Savoyard denominations. Viticultural practices follow reasoned and environmentally conscious methods. This yields an annual production of approximately 15,000 bottles of regionally expressive wines.
The eno directory lists 4 wines, mostly from Persan and Pinot Gris.

Variété de pinot gris venant de méditerranée ou, de suisse sur les bords du Léman. Le vin blanc est volontairement vinifié avec 5g de sucre résiduel, ce qui lui donne plus de rondeur, et une belle adaptation à la gastronomie !
