About the estate
The Uzunashvili Mukuzani Cellar is located in the village of Mukuzani within the Kakheti region and looks back on a family history in winemaking dating back to the early 19th century around 1829. The estate is led by Vazha Uzunashvili as an 11th-generation winemaker with extensive professional experience. Vineyard management involves manual tending, and all grapes are harvested by hand at peak ripeness. For the production, the winery utilizes traditional subterranean Qvevri clay vessels for fermentation. The estate processes the grape varieties Rkatsiteli, Kakhetian Green, Qisi, and Saperavi, harvested within the Mukuzani controlled appellation of origin.
The eno directory lists 6 wines, mostly from Saperavi and Kisi.
