About the estate

The Tenuta Montanello S.S. winery located in Castiglione Falletto in Piedmont was acquired by Bartolomeo Racca on April 19, 1864. Historically, the estate served as the home of the first cooperative winery in the Langhe, where the production and marketing of the first Barolo began in the late 19th century. Today, after five generations, the estate remains in the possession of the Racca family and is managed by Alberto Racca, who respects tradition while remaining open to innovations in the wine sector. The Montanello hill is considered one of the finest crus in the Barolo area and is recognized among the great vineyards of the Langhe.
