The wine estate TENUTA DEL BARONE Soc. Agr. di Vaira Maurilio s.s. located in Narzole farms 23 hectares of vineyards and originates from a property acquired in 1969 by the Vaira family, featuring a farmhouse dating back to the early 18th century. The vineyards are situated mid-slope with south and southwest exposures on mixed marl, tuff, limestone, and clay soils. The oldest vineyard was planted with Barbera in 1940, followed by subsequent plantings including Nebbiolo and Dolcetto. Cultivation utilizes the Guyot training system with manual operations in both the vineyard and the cellar. The estate is listed in the Consorzio Barolo Barbaresco Alba Langhe e Dogliani. The portfolio includes 8 wines in the registry, covering denominations such as Barbaresco DOCG, Barolo DOCG, Barbera d’Alba DOC, and Dolcetto d’Alba DOC, alongside specialties like the Ànsamisa rosé and the Memorie red wine. The rosé is aged for 4 months in steel vats, while the Memorie red is produced from selected grapes harvested across the 23-hectare estate. Wines are offered in 0,75-liter bottles as well as in bag-in-box, taniche, and damigiane formats. Distribution channels comprise direct sales at the winery and local gastronomy.
