About the estate
The Sommer estate in Mörbisch am See has been run as a family business for three generations. The winery cultivates around ten hectares of vineyards in local sites, with sixty percent planted to white wine varieties and forty percent to red varieties. The management focuses on resource-efficient vineyard cultivation. In the cellar, the winery combines traditional methods with modern cellar technology. White wines are aged cooled in stainless steel tanks, while red wines are matured in small or large wooden barrels after fermentation.
